| I charge a $100 handling fee to ship a puppy. This is for the veterinary issued health certificate, crate, & transportation to the Charleston International Airport. The puppy will be sent COD, which means you pay the cost of airfare to Delta Airlines when you pick your puppy up. This is generally $250-$300. I will ship via Delta airlines out of the Charleston International Airport to any of the 48 connecting states and Alaska. I will not ship to Hawaii. International inquiries are handled on a case by case basis. When we set up the flight we schedule it around both our schedules. Please be as flexible as possible and understand that sometimes shipping times depend on the weather as they cannot fly if the temperature will be higher than 85 degrees ANYWHERE between Charleston, SC - Atlanta, GA and their destination airport or if the temperature will be less than 45 degrees ANYWHERE between Charleston, SC - Atlanta, GA and their destination. I usually ship puppies in the cooler morning hours, they reach their destination within a few to several hours. I DO NOT drug puppies before they are shipped, this is not permitted by the airport and not necessary. My puppies will generally settle into their crate within a few minutes and sleep the entire time. I use Delta airlines, for reasons stated below. Shipping FAQs: Q. Is shipping safe? Have you ever had bad experiences shipping dogs/puppies? A. Yes, shipping is very safe. We have never had a bad experience with Delta airlines. The staff have been very friendly & kind to every dog/puppy we have shipped. Q. Can you ship to the airport by our house? A. When we schedule a flight, we give Delta airlines your zip code. They then give us the closest airport that they ship to. We only ship our puppies on flights with pressure chambers, so they cannot fly to just any airport. More to come...
